a thankful heart

this is my totally new school kitchen lab!
so cool huh. heehee..
the class is from 10am -6pm everyday..
can you imagine standing for at least 5 hours straight everyday?
though it was quite tiring especially for the first few days..
i guess i'm slowly adapting to the new environment.
had terrible headache the first few days of school.
hopefully i wont have anymore headache, it's a killer. hahah.


anyway,
i'm very thankful for today!
God spoke to me in a very special way once again (:

the presence of God is so overwhelming within me today,
the indescribable perfect peace!
the chastising of the Lord, the goodness and mercy which overflow.
no matter how tough the road ahead may seem,
i'll be strong in the Lord.
fixing my eyes upon Jesus,
the author and finisher of our faith (:


ohyea, thank God for the people serving in vibe too!
the people in syfc have been a tremendous blessing to me as well!


what can i do?
but to praise You Lord for all that You have done in my life.
i'll still say blessed be the name of the Lord!

Exhausted

Kite

i always remember the kite story whereby we are the kite and God is the one controlling the string. No matter how far the kite fly, the person handling the string is holding on to it and never let go. It always warm my heart whenever i reflect on how we are just like the kite. God never let go of us despite us going/ straying away so far from Him. He is in absolute control. amazing love story huh.






many things are happening in my family now.
i'm lost.
but i can trust that God is in absolute control of it all.
challenges..

Matthew 24: 3-14; 23-28

3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?”

4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. ²³ “Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. ²⁴ For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. ²⁵ See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.

²⁶ “So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! ²⁷ For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes. ²⁸ Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.

beautiful kite flying scene. heh.. met up with the girls and played badminton. had a great time together with them. heehee..

BLESSED 17th BIRTHDAY TO EDWARD!

surprise Edward with a durian cake at the lavender food centre. the incident was super funny as everyone were looking at us preparing the cake. cos Edward was resting his head on the table to close his eyes and Amelia was dont know doing what to him,lol, everyone thought what happened to him and came over to take a look. super funny lah.. and i had to whisper to the aunties that we are doing a bday surprise for him. and i didnt have any lighter with me to light up the candle! lol. then i asked one of the aunties who came over if they got lighter, one uncle offered his and helped us light up the candle. hahaha.. then due to the fan blowing, the fire keep getting off. then the uncles and aunties were so nice to help us switch off the fan so that edward get to blow the candle. LOL! can you imagine such scenario in a food centre? hahaha!


i seem to be carrying gold with me cos my bag was super heavy! hahaha.. so edward helped me to carry it and he look like some terrorist carrying suspicious stuff with him. LOL!


thank God for the good time of mini celebration that we can have for Edward! hahaha.. got to know him abit better and he's really like some self-entertainer! seriously a joker. hahaha..


after the bday celebration, me and Amelia went over to ECP for overnight fishing with "Daddy Kong" and Jeremy. it was a super last minute decision! anyway i had fun fishing, while amelia helped me to take out the fishes from the bait. hee.. enjoyed the wind over there though it was super cold! (:

Thank God for the people putting up the play and for their labour of love! I was abit disappointed that my parents didnt turn up that day, but i'll trust that everything is in God's perfect timing. so, no rush (: anyway, Dawn's singing is super sweet yea, the moment she appeared on stage, you can see and hear the camera flashes everywhere. hahaha.. i managed to video down half of her singing only due to insufficient memory in my hp. anyway, thank God for the preaching on Friday and Sunday too. i really wish that my parents could come and hear it.

May we not lose sight of the Cross and continue to press on for the glory of God!


out with Christina today! hee, had a great time going shopping with her! she can really spend man.. hahaha.. i was so tempted to buy so many stuff, but i realise that i should get the stuff that i need and not what i want. i've already quitted my job at kumon, so now really got to spend my money wisely. anyway, thank God for a great time spent with her. heh. and i cant wait to meet up with my secondary school friends this wednesday!! excited!


ohya, recently caught a movie with Christine on the confession of a shopaholic. hahah.. the movie is not bad and some part of the scene totally spoke to me alot. well well well.. ask me if you wanna know more. haha..


ohyea, thank God for Saturday prayer meeting too! there's always a different feeling in me whenever i sense the power of God's working! it's just so amazing! may we always believe in the power of prayer!


school is starting soon and i dont really look forward to my very packed timetable.. shall trust that God will guide and lead me through all these for a purpose! i hope i'm prepared for school when school resume next week. alright shall blog till here for now.

PEP Outing!

Yesterday was a day out with my PEP gang. hahaha... the TP christians coming together for a time of bonding through photo-taking. LOL. i kept pestering them to take photos. hahaha.. anyway, thank God for a great time with all of them! hee.. we went tampines in the afternoon to play basketball, then rested at mac, headed to city hall area for dinner, then to esplanade where all the fun begin. hee.. a bunch of jokers, totally make all of us keep laughing throughout. heh. here's the photos!

hee, a group photo taken with a tourist and family! it was quite an interesting incident. desmond asked this guy to help us take photo, and we ended up talking to them. they were from phillipines. the guy who took photo for us has been working in singapore for about a year, his family just came over here that day. as we chatted, we realised that his dad is actually a pastor! hahaha, what a small world man. we had a great time talking to them and talking about Good Friday and Easter (:(: so encouraged by the perfect plan and timing from God :)
