God Sees The Heart

Our God measures man by His standard divine,
For He sees underneath every outward design.
He looks past possessions and costly attire;
He studies the heart, every thought and desire.

Our God does not judge by how tall we may stand,
Or how much we possess, or the rank we command.
His gaze goes far deeper to things that endure;
He honors the man who keeps his heart pure.

For the eyes of the Lord are searching to and fro,
We have no secrets that our God does not know.
Our Father knows our thoughts, He understands every part.
Man sees the outside, but God sees the heart.

1 Chronicles 28:9-10

⁹And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

¹⁰Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

Thank God for today, seriously.. was feeling quite down, uncertain, not at peace since last night.. then this morning, certain songs were running through my mind during the bus ride. and it just gave me the strength to continue with the day.. God is good! and it's so true that when you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. . so many challenges each week and God is my strength of hope to pull through all of it and the love that comes from Him to carry on. one thing that i've learnt is, no matter what kind of frustrations appear in your life, love erases them.

teach me to love..
