Made in the image of God

Psalm 139:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Even though we may acknowledge God as our creator in our minds, our hearts do not always believe we are "wonderfully made". Too often we focus our attention on our poor upbringing and /or weaknesses. [extract from High QuestI]



As I reflect upon this verse the whole week, i was reminded once again that all of us are created in the image of God! What a humbling thought! How often do we actually look to ourselves and compare with others? The more we compare, the more unhappy we get and even to lead us to bitterness, jealousy, etc. Each and everyone of us are created by God, made in His image, unique and precious in His sight. When we make fun of others' appearance, we are actually mocking God of His creation. God created us and He said that it was good. So why compare? Why make fun of others? or even, why look down on yourself?

Look to God this day and praise Him! For indeed, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, marvellous are His works!

May we find our identity in Christ today and reflect of God's glory and love through our lives!
